For a while, everything was disappointingly ordinary. Then an ancient storage crystal appeared behind them. Not arrived. Not delivered. Appeared. Syvar’s first assumption was that somebody from the Soma was responsible. The synth immediately began compiling a list of likely suspects and, more importantly, ways the joke could have been improved. Still, something about the crystal felt unusual.
