Nebraska baseball's 2026 season ended sooner than the Huskers hoped, but not before a senior-led group helped restore the program to heights not seen in nearly two decades. Nebraska finished with 44 victories, its most wins since 2005, and hosted an NCAA Regional for the first time in 18 years. The Huskers' season began in Arizona in February and ended in May against Arizona State, but along the way Nebraska re-established itself as one of the nation's top programs. The Huskers posted a .958 winning percentage at home, setting a new school record at Haymarket Park while losing only three games on their home field. Nebraska also hosted the program's 20th NCAA Regional and seventh regional overall. "This team has set the standard," senior Dylan Carey said. "The standard is to host and be an Omaha team."
