The challenges of environmental justice, resilience and sustainable development require solutions grounded in community and lived experience. These were among the messages delivered by members of several panels at this year’s SALA-Duke Summit on Climate and Sustainability. The two-day summit in May brought together more than 100 leaders, researchers and advocates to explore sustainable and equitable solutions and build connections to drive lasting change. Kicking off the summit was a fireside chat exploring what tomorrow’s climate solutions require, featuring former U.S. EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan and Toddi Steelman, vice president and vice provost for climate and sustainability at Duke University.
