I’m going to be brutally honest. I have not hosted a retreat in over a decade. The reason is the same one behind why I stopped taking care of myself.
I got focused. On building my business, on teaching teacher trainings, on raising my kids. None of that is a bad thing to be focused on. But somewhere in there the connection that made me fall in love with teaching in the first place became something I kept saying I did not have time for. So I kept saying no to the one thing I always loved hosting: retreats. And to be very candid, to a lot of other things, both personally and professionally.
A few months ago I went to Mexico and realized later was never going to come on its own. I had to make the time. So I did what I do best: took a leap. Put it together with love and care. And did the thing I had been thinking about for so long.
And here is the part I did not expect. In just the first few days the retreat has been live, it is already giving me back the exact thing I had been missing...
