When Jim first opened the email saying he’d won, he thought it had to be spam. He even asked his son to double check it was real. After all, this wasn’t just any prize. Jim has been a Sharks fan since the 1970s. He was there for the 2016 Grand Final, has held an interstate membership for more than 12 years, and still drives hours just to get to a game whenever he can. So when he found out he’d won four days of NRL Magic Round passes, four nights at Quest Woolloongabba, and a $1,000 Flight Centre gift card, it felt pretty surreal. He headed to Brisbane with his son, caught up with an old friend he hadn’t seen in years, soaked up the atmosphere of Magic Round, and came back to Quest Woolloongabba in between it all. Footy.
