Indian Plastic Notes are coming soon.. Because the RBI is preparing to test polymer currency notes in India. These notes are waterproof, harder to tear, easier to clean, and can last up to 5 times longer than normal paper currency. Countries like Canada, the UK and Australia already use them. And in Canada, counterfeit cases reportedly collapsed after the switch. But ATM compatibility and operational issues delayed the rollout. Now those issues are reportedly resolved — and a fresh pilot could be announced soon.
