Let’s talk organic milk! Organic and non organic milk may look pretty similar once they’re poured into a glass, but there’s a lot that happens before the pour to distinguish the two. For dairy to be certified organic, cows must eat certified organic feed, have access to the outdoors, and spend time on pasture during the grazing season. Organic standards also prohibit antibiotics, added hormones, GMOs, and synthetic pesticides used to grow organic feed. It all adds up. What cows eat, where they graze, how the land is cared for, and how the milk is produced all matter. And to stay certified, organic farms are inspected every year and keep detailed records to verify they’re meeting USDA standards. So on World Milk Day, we’re raising a glass to the milk, the cows, the farmers, and all the work that happens before it ever reaches your fridge. Cheers! #organicdairy #dairyfarm #drinkmilk #organicmilk #wholemilk
