Everyone seems so desperate for the ’90s to return, but anyone can pick up an instrument, a paintbrush, or a pencil. Creativity is not to prove something. It’s just to be and to be filled with joy. I just decided to record on my phone when I was practicing in my echoey office, no auto tune, no plan to share. I hadn’t even really practiced the song. It’s hard for me to even play guitar after shattering my wrist a few years back. I just felt like having a moment of creativity and it made me feel better. I feel like when I was a kid, this is just what everyone did. But in a world of trolls and anonymous cowards behind keyboards, it’s hard to share. If your first instinct is to criticize someone for sharing something they created, maybe it’s time to create something yourself. #create #genx #idaho
