It’s #StormSurvivorSunday and if you’ve strolled along The Strand, chances are you’ve noticed this stately landmark that now houses hearsaytx . One of the last grand Victorian buildings constructed on The Strand — and one of architect Nicholas J. Clayton’s final notable works — the 1898 James Fadden Building was originally built for James Fadden’s wholesale wine, liquor, and cigar business. Standing proudly at the end of The Strand, its ornamental brickwork and distinctive façade still turn heads more than 125 years later. Do you think James Fadden’s original store would still fit right in on The Strand today? 🍷
