Zero to Sixty starts tomorrow 🏎️💥 and it covers everything I wish I knew 12 years and 30 sketchbooks ago. High on the list is how important it is to have a way to START. Many of the artists I’ve met and taught never learned ways to approach a blank page besides winging it, so naturally they put off practicing the craft, don’t enjoy the process as much as they could, and are often disappointed by their results. But… it doesn’t have to be that way! Spending a little time to think more critically about “What do I draw and how do I draw it?” can save so many headaches and save so much time in the long run.
