I love what I do, and I want to get better. But along the way, I hope my work creates more excitement around reportage illustration and more opportunities for other artists. I think that would be the best legacy—tons of artists working at all kinds of events and documenting all kinds of stories through art. So in that spirit, I want to make it clear that I was (and still am) totally clueless at times. It’s been a clumsy, awkward process of piecing things together, but I’m sure some followers out there are much smarter and more talented than I am and can achieve a lot more in less time.
