A politician wins or loses and their entire mood changes.
It's not because these things are happening to them.
It's because they've unconsciously made someone else's story more important than their own.
Fantasy isn't always fiction. Sometimes it's an identity. A tribe. A screen. A narrative that lets us escape the responsibility of confronting our own reality.
There's nothing wrong with enjoying sports, entertainment, or following current events.
