Daisy Jones & The Six

Written as a series of interviews, this book could easily fool you into believing the band actually existed. The characters are flawed, talented, messy and completely believable. I read it cover to cover in two days, with seventies rock playing in my head the entire time. Addictive, emotional and ridiculously entertaining.

I picked this up at Malta Duty Free after a fascinating and eye-opening trip around Malta with the Malta Tourism Board. I expected a historical novel, but instead found a story that is part mystery, part supernatural tale and part love letter to Malta itself. The island's history, architecture and atmosphere are woven beautifully throughout. A great read if you've visited Malta or want to experience its unique character through fiction.
