Keith Haring’s art impacted more than just gallery walls🖼️ Haring was an American artist whose bold, graphic style brought contemporary art into public spaces like subway stations. His experiences as a gay man informed his commitment to activism, public art, and building connections across communities. Throughout his career, Haring devoted much of his time to public works, producing more than 50 public artworks between 1982 and 1989, in dozens of cities around the world. Diagnosed with AIDS in 1988, Haring enlisted his imagery during the last years of his life to speak about his own illness and generate awareness about AIDS.
