"I asked 6 artists that I highly respect to take the Panoverb amplifier that I designed for Fender and do whatever they'd like to it to turn it into a collaborative art piece with only one rule: it had to still work in the end. This is the collaboration with acclaimed artist Ai Weiwei aiww. I love the piece he created entitled "Table With Three Legs" and his worldview. This amplifier collaboration shows that Ai has hand sewed dozens of clothing buttons to the grill cloth of the amplifier to spell out the word "FUCK". I've always thought it interesting that most people don't know that you can attach things to grill cloths and that you can put an awful lot of things "in the way" of the emitting sound without effecting the frequencies. The grill cloth itself is full of thousands of tiny holes allowing the air to pass through making it an interesting canvas that usually remains empty. I'm honored that Ai contributed this amazing piece to the exhibition, thank you so much." -Jack White III....
