We came across this incredible initiative in Japan called the “Restaurant of Mistaken Orders” a restaurant where all servers are living with a dementia and customers are encouraged to embrace mistakes with patience, understanding and kindness.
The idea behind it is so powerful, to challenge perceptions around dementia and remind us that a diagnosis does not define a person. The focus is on dignity, connection, inclusion and creating moments of joy.
At The Bespoke Life, this message really resonates with us. Through companionship, outings, meaningful conversations and personalised support, we believe in helping people continue to live fulfilling lives, maintain independence and stay connected to the world around them.
💫 Everyone deserves to feel valued, included and seen for who they are, not their condition.
