No network, no experience, just me and a healthy dosis of delulu. That's how I decided to branch out into sports photography about a year ago. These are a few things I wish I had known when I started, but wouldn't have changed a thing: 1. If you don't know where to start, start small. Every rep compounds, every game you'll get better, believe me. When I look at the pics from the first hockey game, I ask myself what was I thinking πŸ˜… 2. Just because you have not shot sports before, doesn't mean you don't have the skills for it. Have you shot weddings? That attention to detail and storytelling πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³πŸ€ŒπŸ½ those concerts you shot? Poor light and fast moving objects!! You get the drill. 3. Gear is not everything! Don't get me wrong, good gear sure helps, but understanding the game and looking for moments beats gear every time. 4. Impostor syndrome comes with the territory, learn to deal with it so it doesn't paralise you before you even start. 5. Being nice goes a long way. I've gotten...
