Day 1 in Africa. The first proper day at camp. You read about places like this. You watch videos. You hear the stories. Then you arrive. And you realise none of it prepared you for what you’re about to experience. On the 1st day we helped 505 people in a village near Mombasa receive medical treatment they simply couldn’t afford. Some had been living with pain and health issues for months, even years, because getting help wasn’t an option. The poverty is real. The challenges are real. But so are the smiles, the gratitude, the resilience, and the hope. It’s a powerful reminder that while many of us spend our time chasing more, millions of people are simply praying for enough. Something tells me this is going to be one of those weeks that changes how I see the world, and how I appreciate everything waiting for me back home.
