How can you not love Rhetorical? 🥹 The 5-year-old #NYBred gelding, a son of Not This Time, has only finished out of the top three once in his nine start career. Among his six wins and two thirds are a pair of Grade I victories, in the GI Old Forester Bourbon Turf Classic Stakes and GI Coolmore Turf Mike Stakes, along with a placing in the GI Maker’s Mark Mile Stakes. He also finished fourth in the GI Breeders’ Cup Mile. Rhetorical made it look easy in his last start, where he led the field gate-to-wire in the Turf Classic as he stretched beyond a mile and a sixteenth for the first time. The Will Walden trainee won it by 3 1/4 lengths. This Friday, he steps up to a mile and three-sixteenths in the GI Manhattan Stakes at Saratoga during Belmont Stakes Racing Festival weekend.
