It’s always hard leaving what you know and what you love. One thing I’ve learned is that those transitions become a lot easier when you’re moving toward something you’re passionate about. Over the last few months, I’ve stepped out of the CEO role at Collective Influence and spent more time focused on Impact Others. Being able to serve children around the world who don’t have a voice or someone to stand on their behalf is something I’m deeply passionate about. As I sit here in Salvador, Brazil, preparing for Project Dakota and meeting with schools to help provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged children, I’m reminded of something important. Don’t make work only about providing for your family or building a legacy. Make it about purpose.
