Every trader loses. The best traders in the world lose on roughly half their trades. The difference is not the loss itself - it is what happens in the five minutes after. An undisciplined trader immediately looks for the next trade to cancel out the pain. A disciplined trader closes the chart, logs the trade, and moves on. Your ability to take a loss cleanly, without chasing, without spiralling, is one of the most valuable skills you can build.

When a single loss genuinely upsets you - not just frustrates you, but derails your entire session - it almost always means you are risking more than you can emotionally handle.
