The main things i hear people say: 1: yourshotau should be free! So everyone who works on this event should not get paid? 🤯 You have to pay to learn any other instrument? Why not pay for valuable lessons and advice from industry expert and amazing djs who are going to help save you years of learning the hard way? You also meet so many industry people and have amazing networking opportunities it’s insane value for money 💰 2: You shouldn’t have to sell tickets: How are you going to play in front of a crowd then? Who’s going to come to a headline set of a dj who has never played before without the djs themselves bringing in supporters? If everyone works together to bring a crowd = you all get to play in front of a sick crowd. Most first djs gigs are opening sets to nobody on the dance floor 😅 This industry is not easy, nothing is free and you have to work extremely hard to get anywhere so pretending otherwise would completely set young djs up for failure.
