@flyinglotus’ rap alter ego Captain Murphy is back with "Mudhole," a new single off the Lionsgate martial arts film 'The Furious,' directed by Kenji Tanigaki. The film comes out on June 12. ⁠ ⁠ The character first emerged in 2012 as an anonymous online presence with pitched-down vocals, jazzy sample-heavy beats, and no identity attached. The internet was split on whether it was Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, or someone else entirely. FlyLo eventually revealed himself at his 'Duality' mixtape release show that same year. ⁠ ⁠ "Mudhole" was co-produced by Little Snake, with visuals from Adam Fuchs, the Adult Swim animator who built the original Captain Murphy aesthetic.
