According to reports from local Sonora media and the Arizona Daily Star, 25-year-old Julio Rojo of Tucson passed away during the early morning hours of April 4, 2026, after falling from the second-story terrace of the Shark Bite bar along Puerto Peñasco’s Malecón. Authorities say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Witnesses reported that Rojo had been sitting near the edge of the rooftop terrace when he apparently lost his balance and fell roughly two stories to the sidewalk below.
