Would you actually stop if you pulled up to this? 😂 Someone apparently stole a stop sign at a Gilbert intersection… and instead of leaving it empty, someone taped up a giant paper sign that simply says: “STOP” with another note underneath that reads: “Stop sign stolen. Please pretend this one is real.” Honestly, it might be one of the most Arizona things we’ve seen all year. Whether it was the city trying to make the intersection safer until a replacement arrived or a neighbor with a printer and a sense of humor, drivers were basically asked to trust the honor system. Thankfully, most people probably did—but it’s definitely not the kind of traffic control you’d expect to see in 2026.
