A Walmart in San Tan Valley had to temporarily close after a fire broke out inside the store during overnight work. 😳🔥
According to Rural Metro Fire, crews responded to the Walmart Supercenter off Hunt Highway after sparks from a welder reportedly ignited nearby materials and spread into the paper towel aisle.
Firefighters were able to put it out quickly before it spread further through the store. Officials said no one was hurt in the fire, though one person reportedly had a separate foot injury from an unrelated incident inside the store.
The store stayed closed while crews checked for possible fire, smoke, and water damage.
