It was expected. A week of above-zero temperatures means the Rideau Canal will close for skating. Let’s hope it’s only temporary. The canal was fully open along its entire length from January 16. That’s 32 uninterrupted days, plus the first nine days of January, for a total of 41 days of skating so far.
