#WorldEnvironmentDay, we’re proud to share how sustainability at The O2 is built into the way we power, serve, save, recycle, and grow:
🌱 100% renewable electricity powering the venue
🍽️ 35% reduction in arena F&B CO2e since 2019 through more ethical, seasonal, local produce + lower-impact meats
💡 861,833 kWh saved since August 2025 — enough energy to boil 34.7 million cups of tea
🥤 4.8 million single-use items avoided thanks to the arena’s reusable cup system
🍺 100% of glass bottles recycled onsite — over 5 tonnes per event, with bottles back on shelves in as little as 30 days
🐝 Urban Garden turned unused land into a home for 30,000 bees, newts, and a vegetable patch — built with repurposed materials and grown produce used by the arena’s catering teams
🪱 An onsite wormery processes 10% of food waste, cutting trucking and turning waste into nutrient-rich compost for local businesses and green spaces
Sustainability at scale isn’t one big ...
