My father in law makes the best biscuits and he blessed us with his recipe and all of the tips and tricks to make these perfect every time. Serve them warm with jam or butter and honey! The perfect thing to bake on a Sunday morning. Makes a dozen biscuits! Ingredients: 2 cups all purpose flour, plus more dusting surface 2 tablespoons baking powder 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 7 tablespoons ice cold or frozen unsalted butter 1 heavy cup buttermilk (about 1 1/8 cup) Instructions: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Using the large holes of a box grater, grate the cold or frozen butter directly into the flour mixture. Gently incorporate the butter with your hands until it is evenly distributed and the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Pour in the buttermilk and stir with a fork just until a shaggy dough form...
