Some exciting news from this weekend’s MBAs: sharonchentv and I took home 1st place in the Large Market Best Feature category. This was the second special project I’ve done at KCTV5, and seeing it recognized like this is truly incredible. I learned so much working alongside Sharon—her anchoring and storytelling really brought this piece to life, and I’m honored that she trusted me with it. On top of that, KCTV5 won Station of the Year for the third year in a row and brought home 14 awards overall. I’ve been at KCTV5 for almost a year, and I’ve grown a lot in that time. To earn my first award in my first year in news is an honor—and a reminder of what’s possible with an amazing team around you.
