FAMU alumnus Pastor DeWayne Harvey has spent a lifetime using his gift to inspire others. πΆππ§‘
This Black Music Month, we're celebrating the voices, visionaries, and trailblazers who continue to shape the sound of Black music and culture.
Although Harvey began singing at just 3 years old, he honed his talents as a student in the FAMU Gospel Choir. He later launched his own gospel group, DeWayne Harvey & Unrestrained Praise.
Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with some of gospel music's biggest names while remaining committed to mentoring the next generation of artists.
As Harvey puts it, "When the Lord tells you to do something, do it. Don't doubt. Don't hesitate."
Watch this special performance of "What the Lord Allows" featuring Pastor DeWayne Harvey and Fred Hammond, and help us celebrate a Rattler whose faith, talent, and dedication continue to make an impact on gospel music.
Have a Motivational Monday!
