I’m proud to sign this law to help save Coloradans money on their homeowner’s insurance. A quarter to half of insurance premiums across Colorado are related to the cost of hail damage and this bill will support more stable, affordable premiums across Colorado and help Coloradans invest in hail-resistant roofs, saving them money long-term. Based on data from four Front Range counties analyzed by the Division of Insurance, hail risk reduction through better roofing has the potential to save consumers an average of $326 per year.
