It’s an Opening Day tradition that happens one day a year with the nytransitmuseum and mta for the price of a subway ride! This has been a personal tradition of mine for years, and many of you have told me you have now made it yours as well because of my past posts. This year, I was excited to board early to show the behind the scenes. Media, museum staff, and more met at the South Ferry stop that’s been out of commission since Hurricane Sandy. It was such cool experience exploring the vintage details even more and seeing the train come together to take Yankee fans from Grand Central directly to Yankee Stadium.
