The history of our Washington Township home may have been tumultuous, but in the end, LOU fought for our right to open. After the closing of the North Princeton Developmental Center, thousands of individuals with developmental disabilities were in need of housing in residential neighborhoods. As with many of our properties, neighbors tried to stop this group home from opening. Thanks to the Fair Housing Act and justice prevailing, we were legally allowed to open.
