Memorial Park will host a grand opening event on Saturday Nov. 4 for its brand new running complex, which includes an event plaza, bike parking and a new timing track.   The ribbon cutting will take place at the Running Complex, located next to the Kinder Land Bridge, where organizers plan to invite children 12 and under to break in the 400-meter Roy H. Cullen Timing Track in a friendly “Kid’s Dash” race.   “We’re going to have music, food, swag, a vendor village,” said Holli Clements, vice president of engagement for the Memorial Park Conservancy. “It’s just going to be a great celebration and a lot of fun. And we really want Memorial Park to be a place where every Houstonian can see themselves belonging.”   The Running Complex is part of the park’s Ten-Year Master Plan that will provide more outdoor amenities for the Houston community.
