Major airlines in Houston have temporarily suspended flights to Israel after surprise militant attacks over the weekend stunned Israel, leaving more than 700 dead. Those cancellations come days after Hamas, a Gazan militant organization, conducted unprecedented attacks on Israel. In response, Israel began conducting air strike attacks on Gaza Sunday, and thousands are reported injured amid the conflict. United Airlines, JetBlue, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines halted flights from Houston to Tel Aviv. Delta Airlines said in a statement flights have been canceled into the week. Turkish Airlines and British Airways are still conducting flights today from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Tel Aviv with minimal stops. Flights are still available throughout the week with minimal seating available.
