A Heights daycare could be the first in the city to enforce an alcohol-free zone around its building. The owner of the Heights Preschool and Early Learning Center, Kelly Rosin, said that despite what some restaurant owners say, the ordinance would not affect any existing businesses. Gary Mosley, owner of the Onion Creek Coffee and Creek Restaurant Groups, opposes the zone. Mosley said although officials say it only affects bars certified by the TABC, enacting the zone will still limit alcohol sales for restaurants.
