Houston's air quality is set to take a hit this week due to a moderate amount of harmful particulate matter in the atmosphere caused by a thick plume of Saharan dust making its way into the region.   The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality predicts that elevated fine particulate matter will gradually push farther inland as the dust is transported northward by southerly surface winds.
