1. What is Terumah?
• “Terumah” means a lifting up, separation, or offering.
• It refers to produce (grain, wine, oil) separated from the harvest and given to the Kohen (priest).
• The Kohen and his household ate it in purity; it was considered kodesh (holy).
The three holidays requiring pilgrimage to Jerusalem are:
1. Pesach (Passover) – Chag HaMatzot
2. Shavuot (Weeks, Pentecost)
3. Sukkot (Booths/Tabernacles)
