Our little one tried a “real swim team practice” last night. It’s just 30 minutes, it starts minutes after our last cheer, and she had already met the coaches. Yet she was still scared. She sat at the end of the pool with tears falling because she didn’t think she could do it. Not really sure of why….but she knew she was terrified to get into that pool. Insert her 20 older brothers and sisters: GCST. They cheered for her. They stuck around. They shared how they cried at their first practice. They offered to do a length with her. They showed up for her. It took some convincing but she did it! AND LOVED it. Family shows up for each other no matter how big or small that hard thing is. We are GCST.
