Ask this guy five years ago if he would’ve started a women’s golf program at a DIII school. I went from asking women on campus to learn how to play golf to recruiting players from 9 different states, and from seeing scoring averages drop by 16% after year one to another 13% this year. Not to mention building one of the most welcoming, fun, and supportive groups I’ve had the privilege of being a part of. These girls are smart, work hard, laugh harder than anyone I know, and open the door for so many girls growing up in the sport who want to play in college. Next year is going to be so exciting. Still, this year has brought some incredible moments: setting our own records for lowest team scores, having one of our top players finish first as an individual twice, logging even more birdies, and watching some near hole-in-ones and some amazing chip-ins from around the greens!
