German bunker builder Peter Aurnhammer said that business was booming thanks to political instability in many parts of the world. According to the country’s Federal Office for Civil Protection, Germany currently has 579 non-functionable public shelters which could house around 477,000 people in the country of more than 83 million. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Germany's interior ministry stopped dismantling public shelters and has since been working on new concepts for public shelters. #german #bunker #russia
