🎓 FIRST-TIME STUDENT TIPS Moving to Wilmington for college? Whether you’re coming to UNCW or just relocating to the area, there are a few things nobody tells you before you arrive. Beach parking fills up way earlier than you think! Bring a bike. Campus and the surrounding area is very flat so having a set of wheels is not only helpful, but a great source of exercise. Rain boots and a good rain jacket come in handy. Be sure you spend just as much time off-campus as you do on-campus. There’s so much to do in the Wilmington community. Winter here is much warmer than most students expect.
