The United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday (June 3) elected Austria, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Trinidad and Tobago and Zimbabwe to join the 15-member UN Security Council from January 1, 2027 until December 31, 2028. ⁣ ⁣ The contest for places was tough.
