UPDATES: Terry Francona disclosed that Elly received some treatment and will be re-evaluated in a couple of weeks. He said that depending on how Elly’s feeling and how his rehab goes, he could come back sooner. Francona indicated that given Elly’s competitive nature, earlier rather than later was a possibility. He also said that Elly didn’t want to go on the IL, which Francona respects, but that the Reds had to take care of him. C.
