Ham & Gruyère Croissant Bake
Ingredients
* 12 large store-bought croissants, torn into large pieces
* 12 large eggs vitalfarms
* 3 cups heavy cream
* 12–16 oz thinly sliced ham
* 12 oz Gruyère, shredded (about 3 cups)
* 1½ Tbsp Dijon mustard mailleus
* 3 cloves garlic, finely grated
* 1½ tsp kosher salt
* ¾ tsp black pepper
* 1 Tbsp fresh thyme
* 3 Tbsp chopped chives
* Butter for baking dish
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350°F and butter a deep 9×13-inch (or larger) baking dish.
2. Arrange croissant pieces in the dish. Tuck ham evenly throughout and sprinkle with 2¼ cups of the Gruyère.
3. Whisk together eggs, cream, Dijon, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme. Pour over the croissants and gently press down to help absorb the custard.
4. Let sit 20–30 minutes, or cover and refrigerate overnight.
5. Top with the remaining ¾ cup Gruyère.
6. Bake 50–65 minutes, until golden brown, bubbly, and set in the center (165–170°F if using a thermometer).
