Happy Turtle Tuesday!
Help us identify and protect Saint Lucia's sea turtles!
Great Isles Initiative recently launched a citizen science Turtle ID Project to better understand which turtles use our coastal waters and which habitats are most important for conservation.
Just like fingerprints, every sea turtle has a unique pattern of facial scales. By comparing photos submitted by divers and snorkelers, we can identify individual turtles and track them over time. Using photo-identification technology makes long-term monitoring more efficient, accessible, and cost-effective.
Become a citizen scientist and help support sea turtle conservation in Saint Lucia. Share your turtle photos with the Turtle ID Project through the link in our bio!
