Congrats to Russell Wilson on his retirement from the NFL. He was exciting to watch - an incredible quarterback who struck fear into opposing defenses with his arm and his legs, and helped lead the Seahawks to their first-ever Super Bowl victory. It was fun photographing him during games, but he also spent time visiting sick children in the hospital, holding youth football camps, and in these photos you’ll see one of my favorite images of him - taking a walk with a Make-a-Wish kid on the field after a game. For a decade he was a Seattle sports icon - you couldn’t go far without seeing his familiar “3” jersey on the back of kids and adults alike.
