Big congratulations to rutgersartsandsciences student Jane Teran on being named a Beinecke Scholar! 🎉 Awarded to just 16 students nationwide, the prestigious program supports juniors pursuing graduate studies in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. From researching the dynamics of urban Latino immigrant neighborhoods to serving in various student leadership roles, Jane — also a first-generation college student — is making an impact across campus. This fall, she’ll conduct community-based research through the Ralph Voorhees Public Service Fellowship program while also continuing her work as an RA, library assistant, and learning assistant. Teran is now the fourth Rutgers student to receive the award — and the second consecutive recipient following #RU2026 grad Rigo Salvatierra last year. ❤️🖤
