The historic James J. Hill Reference Library in St. Paul, MN is now avalonsaintpaul, an event center that has preserved the integrity and character of the space. This Renaissance Revival was originally a gift from railroad magnate James J. Hill as a place for business and economic development research. It shares the marble exterior with the central branch of the St. Paul Public Library just off Rice Park. Renovations started in 2025 to transform the historic library into Avalon. This event venue aims to preserve the building’s architectural integrity while adapting it for modern use. The video was captured during a citystoriesmn event put on by rethosplacesreimagined. #stpaulmn #saintpaulmn #twincities #minnesota #stpaulminnesota
